We visit members and friends in the hospital and have an active ministry to our homebound members. We also have a ministry that serves Communion to those unable to attend church.

Homebound visitation

Marvin Church has an active team of homebound visitors who seek to visit members and family no longer able to attend worship services on the main campus. Additionally, a pastor or lay persons periodically serve these members the sacrament of Holy Communion.

If you have a loved one in need of this service, please contact Rev. Gerry Giles.

To continue this wonderful ministry, Marvin Church continues to seek caring individuals who will join our visitation team. Team members routinely have two to three homes which they visit approximately once a month. Is God calling you to relieve someone’s loneliness?

Hospital visitation

The pastoral staff seeks to comfort you or your family member prior to surgeries and during periods of hospitalization. During weekdays, each Marvin pastor is assigned a particular day to visit hospitals. That means that every pastor, including the senior pastor, makes hospital calls.

In years past, hospitals collected church information and contacted churches. In a society focused on confidentially and privacy, Marvin Church is dependent upon information from members and their families, Sunday School classes or other individuals to let us know members and families are scheduled for surgery or in the hospital. Please contact Brenda Byerly to advise us of pending surgeries or members in the hospital.
