Meals on Wheels

The mission of Meals on Wheels Ministry is to provide good nutritious meals, daily contact and other support services that enable senior citizens to remain independent and living in their own homes as long as possible. Meals on Wheels serves a daily noon meal to more than 4,000 frail, homebound senior citizens every weekday in East Texas.Most of these meals are delivered by volunteer drivers and Meals on Wheels needs help in recruiting more volunteer drivers in the area around our church. In the zip code of 75702 we need volunteers to help deliver more than 460 meals per day. That is almost 40 percent of the meals we deliver in Tyler.
